NDP -The synthetic relationship with First Nations People

Let me begin by repeating an old saying, those who do not learn from history are bound to repeat it.

The other day someone brought my attention to an article about our backyard in a leftist rag called DeSmog, the article was called “Some First Nations Ready ‘to Rise’ if Poilievre Lifts BC Oil Tanker Ban

So it definitely caught my attention, more so when I read that it was written by Dan Mesec who was the president of the NDP’s Skeena – Bulkley Valley Constituency Association.

The NDP really see aboriginal people, as a means to achive thier goals, not the goals of aboriginal nations. Read on were going to prove it to be true.

Case in Point.

Annita McPhee joins race for NDP nomination (Provincial)

We need to begin by explaining that the NDP in our riding are the same people provincially and federally, that’s fine but all is not fine. In 2019 Nathan Cullen wanted to run provincial and not return to his federal seat that he had repeatedly won, with a plan to pass his seat on to Taylor Bachrach.

I will get to the relevance of the following quote later.

“For 15 years, NDP MP Nathan Cullen has represented Skeena Bulkley Valley, British Columbia. Cullen won’t be running for re-election in the fall federal election, and his tenure in Ottawa is coming to an end. During his time as a Member of Parliament, Cullen introduced the idea of a legal ban on oil tankers. On Thursday, the Senate approved a bill to ban tankers with a vote of 49-46″

“VANCOUVER – The NDP’s announcement that former MP Nathan Cullen is a candidate in the B.C. election has stirred controversy and put the nomination processes used by all the parties in the spotlight.  Annita McPhee, the former president of the central government for the Tahltan Nation, said the party broke its own rules when it selected Cullen after she submitted a nomination package last FridayThe NDP has a policy that stipulates a woman or a member of equity-seeking group must replace retiring male members of the legislature. McPhee hoped to replace Forests Minister Doug Donaldson as the candidate in Stikine.”

So here we are and the NDP’s star candidate Nathan Cullen suddenly trumps the NDP’s own rules, below is her reaction to this news.

“If they were truly exercising their equity mandate and wanting to attract diverse, strong candidates, you would work with people, such as myself, an Indigenous woman, to help sort that paperwork out, to allow time, or to at least explain what’s going on,” she said in an interview. “I just believe that I wasn’t given a fair shot at the nomination.”  McPhee said 33 per cent of voters in Stikine are Indigenous. “It’s really unfortunate in this case because, you know, what does it say to Indigenous leaders, young Indigenous leaders who want to try in the future?” she added.

But there is more truth hidden from the public, Instead of allowing all party members to vote via internet, Dan Mesec as president of Skeena Bulkley Valley NDP chose to have this meeting in Terrace, making it too expensive or much too far to travel, for most First Nations people to attend. In contrast the Conservatives had their elections by online ballots. As the future shows this trick is an insurance policy to insure the candidate is the choice of  a certain group of NDP individuals.

“Annita McPhee, who served three terms as the president of the Tahltan Central Government, said her candidacy was based on the NDP’s policy which states that when a male MLA retires, he must be replaced by an “equity-seeking” individual, such as a woman, person of colour or member of the LGBTQ2+ community.

“I feel incredibly abused in this process,” she wrote in a Facebook post. “I hoped my candidacy would uplift all people, but after what I’ve experienced can only offer deep hurt and disappointment in a party I’ve believed in and supported my whole life.”

OK, let’s give the NDP a break, it only happened once, or did it? And most important this was all done when Dan Mesec was the President of  the NDP’s Skeena – Bulkley Valley Constituency Association.

“Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me”

Annita McPhee joins race for NDP nomination (Federal)

I want you all to take note, look who provided the photo, then look at the photo and see how much of that room has aboriginal representation. Note this wording as well Bachrach won the nomination in a meeting in Terrace May 25 on the first ballot. It is clear that the only people who voted were in this room, and not representative of all the NDP memberships in aboriginal communities. Again keeping in mind that Dan Mesec chaired this meeting.

“There were 1,017 eligible voters of which 797 cast ballots for the four candidates on the ticket. Bachrach got 446.”

We have no doubt in our minds that Annita McPhee was never Nathan Cullens choice, and he owed everything to Taylor Bachrach, as the saying goes follow the money.

The financial records are a tell all chronology of the inner elite of the Stikine and Skeena/Bulkley Valley NDP

In brief, here’s the timeline;

    • 2006 – Bachrach donates nearly $500 to Cullen’s campaign. (How many twenty-somethings donate nearly $500 to elections campaigns?)
    • 2011- Bachrach moves to Smithers.
    • 2008 and 2011- Bachrach Communications is the single largest recipient (over $25,000) of payments from Cullen’s campaigns.
    • Somewhere during this time (I believe, closer to 2006) Bachrach’s wife (Michelle Larstone) is hired by Doug Donaldson as a constituency assistant.
    • 2017- Donaldson becomes Minister, Michelle Larstone is immediately hired in a full time position at FLNRO.
    • 2019- Bachrach is railroaded in past McPhee as the NDP candidate, Cullen works behind scenes to ensure his nomination, then actively campaigns for him. Bachrach is elected (large slide in NDP support) in October.
    • Nov. / Dec. 2019- Cullen resigns from his $180k/yr position, receives $89k severance. Says he wants time to spend with his family.
    • Jan 2020- Cullen appointed liaison, bills $250/hr, tries to bill extra $50/day for home office, expenses out meals at every fancy restaurant and coffee joint in the Bulkley Valley. BC Government website shows contract capped at $25k max.
    • Feb- Aug 2020- Cullen bills over $100k in consulting fees and expenses. $2000/day or $250/hr.
    • Sept. 1 2020- After failure to resolve conflict as liaison, Cullen registers as lobbyist for pharmaceutical company Symvivo Corporation. (Private lobbyist to the same government which employs / employed him!?!) No two year ‘cooling off period’, obviously.
    • Sept. 2020- Cullen declared himself candidate for NDP. NDP railroads him past McPhee (again). McPhee requests him to stand down. NDP make various and changing excuses for her candidacy being invalid. McPhee threatens legal action.

The exact opposite holds true for Ellis Ross, who was invited to run by the local Skeena-Bulkley Valley Conservatives. Previously, he held the position of Chief Councillor of the Haisla Nation, and has received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal and Order of B.C. in the past. There were never any issues about a First Nations member running for office, unlike when someone runs for  the NDP where it is expected they serve party needs.
NDP -The synthetic relationship with First Nations People

At the start I said I would get back to the article in the leftist rag called DeSmog, the article was called “Some First Nations Ready ‘to Rise’ if Poilievre Lifts BC Oil Tanker Ban” written by none other than Dan Mesec former president of the Skeena-Bulkley Valley NDP. This is all about First Nations conforming to the Eco-Radical agenda.

Remember this in 2019?  “The Nisga’a First Nation in northwestern B.C. it has reached a historic out-of-court settlement with the provincial government to resolve disputes that had come up in their 24-year-old treaty.” Keep in mind this is no small nation, there are over 6000 members. Dan Mesec former President of the NDP in our riding, is saying your agreement is void because Dan Mesec speaks for Eco radicals saying that a few loud and aggressive aboriginal have more rights than the Nisga Nation does.

What is the point of the NDP giving the Nisga Nation rights and title, then saying you cannot proceed with Ksi Lisims LNG?

This relationship is so very plastic, The NDP will give you full support but you must elect white folks, and let them decide everything for you.

Next comes Dan Mesec the former NDP’s Skeena – Bulkley Valley Constituency Association president, and he is in panic mode over Nathan Cullen’s tanker ban, so he goes out to solicit race hate by any aboriginals willing to take of SkeenaWild’s cause. Most of Dan’s quotes are not recent, they date back to more than 10 years ago, when Cullen fooled locals into supporting him, with his all the salmon will be gone if it this pipeline happens. Funny how no tankers, no pipeline and the salmon are still gone.

We decided we need more research so we looked this gentleman up and found he diffidently hates Conservatives and pipelines. Reading his Facebook page its clear that he is all about hate and bitterness, This is exactly what organizations like SkeenaWild exploit. Instead of seeking resolutions SkeenaWild builds its base on race hate. It makes me wonder where and who is making the mimes that are blatantly untrue, do they come from SkeenaWild as well. or is this the work of local NDP?

Now more about Dan Mesec the former NDP President.

In 2019 Dan Mesec was the president of the NDP’s Skeena – Bulkley Valley constituency association, that oversaw Taylor Bachrach replacing Nathan Cullen as the NDP candidate for Skeena – Bulkley Valley.

Dan Mesec has be resurfacing publicly in recent days. He never did stop writing in left wing rags like the Tyee (NDP News Outlet/Website), the Discourse (eco cult news) Cortes Currents (eco cult radio and website) Dan’s own West Coast Now (Supporting NDP and the Eco cult agenda) then Dan’s own the Skeena. Last but not least is he was working for CLICK Radio that is supposed to be all volunteer, but somehow Dan was paid under the taxpayer funded the Local Journalism Initiative (LJI).

Recently Dan Mesec also know as Daniel Mesec, wrote on his theSkeena blog,” Why The North Coast Oil Tanker Ban Matters, 5 Years On ” backing up Nathan Cullen’s underhanded tanker ban that does not stop tankers on the west coast, it was there solely for the purpose of land locking Alberta’s oil. See Tanker ban is an epic fail that hurts Canadians

After running that story Dan Mesec Dan spoke to a live event for SkeenaWild That in spite of being well advertised had only 12 viewers (hardcore members) Looks like people are seeing the truth, the ongoing Cullen lie is falling apart.

NOTE: Dan has chosen to rename his blog from Skeena Strong to TheSkeena. It appears he has now added a second website called West Coast Now. Both websites  claim copyright to Strong Media.

In the last few years or so there has been a wave of radical and left wing groups, Facebook Pages, organizations, and extremist websites.

Dan Mesec is the owner and webmaster for Skeena Strong falls in a category of its own, its a mix of genuine (Kispiox/Hazelton) community news, where one can promote both leftist as current chairman for the Skeena-Bulkley Valley NDP Association, with a focus on highlighting the activities of Eco-radical groups and their membership using a positive spin. We are  including Skeena Strong because of its close ties to SkeenaWild, Skeena Watershed Conservation Coalition and Raven Trust. (All connected to the Tides Foundation)

We cannot verify or deny that it receives funding from Eco-Radial organization via their funnel trough programs. Tides is as good at hiding who they fund in a sort of money laundering scheme  where charitable eco-radicals are passing on money. Example on this website they promote the Skeena Watershed Conservation Coalition and Raven Trust funded “Chicken Project” however no mention is made if this is free or paid advertisements. Yet both organizations are funded by the Tides Foundation.

Dan writes wherever they will post what he is promoting, mostly left wing eco-radical articles.

Dan Mesec comes from Brampton, Ontario, his education as per what he claims is -Loyalist College, Belleville, Ontario Obtained 2yr diploma in Photojournalism spring 2007 Obtained 1yr certificate Online Publishing/Editing winter 2008

After graduation in 2008, he was the Photographer/Webmaster  in 2008 for The Slovenia Times in Ljubljana, Slovenia

March 2009–Dec 2010  He worked as a sport reporter for Interior News Smithers
In 2011 Dan worked a short stint at Whistlers BC as a reporter
Jan 2012–Dec 2012 He worked as a sport reporter for Interior News Smithers
In 2013 – Aug 2013 he worked at Vista Radio in Smithers as a reporter

As he does not say where he has worked since 2013 we have no starting date on when he began work at SkeenaWild Conservation Trust as the Communication coordinator. Dan also writes articles for the The Discourse where he takes care to not disclose his biased position, and talks as if he is open to both sides of the debate. Its pretty much all in the bag, opinion that is when you are chairman for the Skeena-Bulkley Valley NDP Association, and at the same time you are the Communication coordinator of SkeenaWild Conservation Trust.
