Taylor Bachrach’s Race Baiting Antics
Let me quote Taylor Bachrach “It was a full house last night at the Anglican Church for my colleague Heather McPherson’s talk on Gaza, genocide and Canada’s role in the world. Thanks to Bronwyn and Peter from the Smithers Palestinian Solidarity Group for their work bringing people together.”
Taylor goes on to paint the picture that its all Israel’s fault “The ceasefire signed yesterday brings a sense of cautious optimism. Canada must now work to ensure humanitarian aid is rapidly delivered to families in Gaza who are surviving in unthinkable conditions.“
But then again Taylor Bachrach has a history of silencing truth to support a devide and conquer agenda by spreading race hate. This was not a meeting about how can we bring peace to both sides, it was a meeting to gather support for terrorism against the people of Israel. This was a recruitment drive to start a new “Smithers Palestinian Solidarity Group” in Smithers
You can always tell when the intent is race hate, no mention is made of what started the war, no mention is made in regards to Israeli casualties, and they even go so far as to hide that it was the Palestinian “Hamas” that started the war.
Also we see history repeating itself, two pipeline blockades now have shown open support for Palestinian activists (the politically correct term for terrorists) and then we see repeated instances of the NDP backing illegal roadblocks encouraging more devise rhetoric in our communities. Pitting aboriginal nations against each other has been the modus operandi of the DDP for decades now.
Now let’s examine what the NDP Anti-Israeli did not want the members of our community to know. The following is quotes from Canada’s House of Commons.
Mr. Chair, Canada must stand with the state of Israel. The events of October 7 were the biggest loss of Jewish life since the Holocaust. On that day, Hamas launched a terrorist attack and invaded Israel. Some two and a half thousand Hamas terrorists broke through the border, attacking Israeli military bases and massacring Israeli citizens.
The latest count indicates that 289 IDF soldiers were killed and over 1,100 Israeli civilians were killed. Thousands more casualties took place as IDF soldiers and Israeli civilians were injured. The over 1,100 Israeli citizens who were killed were not killed inadvertently or accidentally. These 1,100 civilians were deliberately and systematically targeted and murdered by Hamas.
Here is the NDP Reply
Mr. Chair, I have a great deal of respect for that member, and I am deeply disappointed by that intervention. He spoke about the need to eliminate Hamas. The children who are being bombed in Gaza today are not Hamas. The children who are dying every 16 minutes, right now, in Palestine are not Hamas. Would the member agree that collective punishment is against international law, and that that is what is happening right now in Gaza
Now here in Smithers, is it not ironic how the NDP team of Taylor Bachrach and Heather McPherson simply forgot to mention Hamas started this war, then these dippers expect you to forgive them as they hide behind the skirts of Palestinian women, children and hospitals?

In total, 1,139 people were killed:[g] 695 Israeli civilians (including 38 children),[36] 71 foreign nationals, and 373 members of the security forces.[h][37] 364 civilians were killed and many more wounded while attending the Nova music festival.[38][39] At least 14 Israeli civilians were killed by the IDF’s use of the Hannibal Directive.[40] About 250 Israeli civilians and soldiers were taken as hostages to the Gaza Strip, alive or dead, and including 30 children, with the stated goal to force Israel to exchange them for imprisoned Palestinians, including women and children.[28][41][42][43] Dozens of cases of rape and sexual assault reportedly occurred, but Hamas officials denied the involvement of their fighters.[44]
“However, we must also be clear that Hamas is a terrorist group, and Hamas committed horrific war crimes, not just in attacking Israel in the first place, but in slaughtering over 1,000 innocent civilians in what were clearly war crimes and which were so systematic they might actually rise to the level of crimes against humanity.”
