Carney gives the Great Bear Initiative Society – Veto Power – Over Canadian Oil Pipelines
Before we talk about Carney’s meeting with this “American Funded Environmentalist Group” we have to go back to the meeting David Eby had with this same environmentalist group back in November 2025 where he used CPAC to announce the “North Coast Protection Declaration” another NDP boondoggle alongside this American funded environmentalist organization. In fact, David Eby suggested that he as head of the BCNDP also has veto power over any proposed pipelines. Thus, the stage is set for mainstream media to deceitfully propagate the myth that this organization has veto power via the words “free and prior consent”. It’s simply not true, they do not have veto power David Eby does not have veto power, that power belongs only to the Government of Canada.
It’s no accident both David Eby and Mark Carney are in collaboration with American funded environmentalists, this remains part of the NDP/Liberal marriage under Justin Trudeau that resulted in the absence of a need for the Federal NDP. If anything, the only surprise is that Mark Carney’s wife is not on the board of directors of the Coastal First Nations.
If this American Funded Environmentalist Group has members in only EIGHT First Nations on the BC Coast. Compare that with a total of SEVENTEEN FIRST NATIONS actually living on the BC Coast. Its also incorrect for them to suggest they even represent their own nations. The nations these individual aboriginals came from were NOT elected by their people to speak for them or elected to become representatives to the “Great Bear Initiative Society” followed by the misleading name “Coastal First Nations” The part that is true is they hold positions within their own communities, to suggest they were elected to serve as representatives within the “Great Bear Initiative Society” is a blent lie.
Jason Alsop, Donald Edgars, Chris McKnight, Robert Nelson, Bruce Reece, Elliot Moody, Samuel Schooner, Danielle Shaw, Marilyn Slett, and Billy Yovanovich are simply elected counsilors in their respective communities. They were not elected to the lucrative benefits and incomes given to those who joined the “Great Bear Initiative Society” The “act” they are being paid for is to appear as if this is a collective of aboriginal coastal First Nations.
The second big lie by the BCNDP and Mark Carney’s Liberals is that the organization’s name is NOT “Coastal First Nations” it is registered under the name “Great Bear Initiative Society”
MEDIA WAKE UP NOW PLEASE
Funny how CBC, CTV, and Global were either too stupid to see this glaring deceit/lie, or complicit in covering it up.
I just saw this post on social media (Facebook), it looks like at the very least Brian Lilley of the Toronto Sun is awake, and takes notice of what they are trying to deceive the public with.

Forgive me if I missed any but here is the list of First Nations that actually live on the BC Coast. There are 17 of them, most not members of this radical environmental organization.
Heiltsuk, Nuxalk, Wuikinuxv, Gwa’sala-‘Nakwaxda’xw, Da’naxda’xw, Quatsino, Nuu-chah-nulth, Kwakwak’awakw , Ditidaht, Pacheedaht, Saanich, Beecher Bay [Scia’new], Malahat, Nanoose [Snaw-naw-as], Songhees, Sooke [T’sou-ke], and Hul’qumi’num.
This Eco Radical Group hides under the name of Coastal First Nations, not only do they fail to represent all Coastal First Nations, but to use the name to hide their real name, “Great Bear Initiative Society” and or operate under the name Great Bear Initiative. The ONLY members are very questionably even aboriginal, or to put otherwise Europeans with a little aboriginal blood from the following aboriginal nations, Gitga’at Nation, Gitxaała Nation, Haida Nation, Heiltsuk Nation, Kitasoo Xai’xais Nation, Metlakatla Nation, Nuxalk Nation, and the Wuikinuxv Nation. Most of these “so called” chiefs are actually the equivalent to elected mayors and village councilors.
Most of them are Euro-Indians, more European than aboriginal. Their grandparents were the so call “settlers” who gave birth to mixed breed descendants. Cashing in on that blood seems to be worth as much as a lotto jackpot, what used to be called half-breed or mixed breed, now has become the golden goose.

The mainstream media also cleverly hid from the public that Coastal First Nations, correctly labelled is the Great Bear Initiative Society received almost all of its operating costs directly from the Tides Foundation via its Canadian counterpart. How can you trust a consortium of aboriginals that are paid by the Americans to oppose oil pipelines? They are doing the bidding of the American Tides Foundation under the pretext of defending their people, while pocketing lucrative benefits for role playing.

A very lucrative pastime for 8 individuals and their friends, have a look at how they used this money. Before we go on we need to share this next screenshot. Does anyone know who the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation is?

Before we get to the declaration by Marilyn Slett, it’s important to note that this meeting was held in Prince Rupert. Likewise, they had every opportunity to gather all their supporters for this visit, and they did show up, all 9 of them out of a city of 13,442. With an indigenous population of 4,550 people.

NOTE: Marilyn Slett says it was the “Great Bear Initiative Society” that invited Mark Carney to this meeting. Using the disguise of “Coastal First Nations” to uphold the pretentious narrative. Pay close attention how she deceitfully describes tanker traffic, knowing full well they need to leave the Hecate Strait (a very short section) to get to the Dixon Entrance. The third lie she told is there is no effective method of cleaning up a tanker oil spill. Marilyn Slett perpetuates this lie, as it is part of a campaign of deceit she is paid to perpetuate.
VETO POWER OVER CANADA
