Gladys Atrill – Land Acknowledgements – A Dangerous Precedent
The provincial NDP Government as part of its strategies is trying to force British Columbia to concede they live on stolen land, part of that strategy is to get all levels of goverment in BC to concede they live on stolen land. This is a formal admission that might indeed be used by our courts as an admission the citizens are merely as Atril puts it, The Town of Smithers recognizes the Wetʼsuwetʼen people, that the . This statement has nothing to do with reconciling with First Nations what it is, is a WOKE narrative to justify socialist change.
At no time have the residents of Smithers authorized Gladys Atrill to make such bold claims on our behalf, this was done at the request of the BC NDP. She is a threat to all property owners in Smithers. It should also be noted that Tourism Smithers is doing the same indoctrination. Likewise Coast Mountain College also does the same indoctrination.
Be it only speculation on my part, I would seriously doubt if members of the Gitdumden clan formally asked Gladys Atrill is she would vacate the land she owns (not in Smithers) out on Tyee Lake Road, I seriously do believe she would call police or her lawyer to insure her hard earned land would not be taken away, Gitdumden title per-existed her BC Land Title. Unless there is there is the belief that members of the NDP will be exempt should the courts rule in favor of returning the land to the Wetʼsuwetʼen people. But when you have a mayor who is not paying taxes in Smithers, why would you be surprised?
Do we all need to buy NDP membership as protection for our private property?
Time and time again we have heard the same NDP suggesting this is all grossly exaggerated, and fear mongering, only one problem, today we know its literally what the courts have ruled, and only by way of having it overturned, will Smithers residents be certain they will not have to surrender their property. It should be at very least a very powerful reason for the Town of Smithers to cease and desist telling its citizens they live on stolen land.
