Haida Gwaii is no longer part of Canada – It is now a sovereign nation.
The other day we woke up to a story most of us never saw coming, the reason was the NDP created this time bomb behind closed doors as they continue a plan to destroy Canada and British Columbia by blowing it up from within. This is not just a case of exaggeration and fear mongering the NDP are using as if covering a pile of stinking diapers with a white sheet sanitizes the mess. Unless someone changed the meaning of the word “sovereignty” it means the former Queen Charlote Islands are no longer part of Canada. If you do not believe me, read the definition of sovereignty.
However we are still paying for every benefit they were getting before, everything from healthcare, to social services, police protection, they get it, we get the bill. They even retain the right to vote in both Federal and Provincial elections.
Interior News quote: The B.C. Supreme Court has recognized full Aboriginal title for the Haida Nation over the entirety of Haida Gwaii.
The unprecedented ruling came down from Justice Christopher Giaschi on Friday, Sept. 5 and grants complete sovereignty for the Haida Nation over the terrestrial areas of Haida Gwaii. The Haida application was supported by Canada and the Province based on agreements with the Haida Nation made in 2024.
Britannica: Sovereignty as a nation refers to the supreme authority and independence of a state to govern itself without external interference. It encompasses the ability to make laws, conduct foreign relations, and control internal affairs within its defined territory.
Unless the meaning of sovereignty has changed, the Haida Nation does not need to follow through on any negotiations with Canada, and it lawfully could negotiate with Russia, China or the United States for protection. The non aboriginals living on that land all have title for their property based on provincial laws and federal laws, due to the change of sovereignty from Canada to the Haida Nation, those rights no longer exist, unless the new country of Haida Gwaii writes it into their new laws. Note: In reality it is now a country, and is as independent as Canada, and it was all done while we were sleeping in our beds.
The reason the NDP/Liberal Coalition (Provincial NDP collaborating with the Federal Liberals) want to downplay this story as well as the recent Supreme Court of British Columbia decision on Cowichan Tribes v Canada, is, it is starting to become clear that other than the open division of fights between the various First Nations, who are fighting over the bones of British Columbia, at the same time our courts are busy taking away the rights of non aboriginals. The problem is it cannot be appealed, the NDP gave 100% aproval to all the arguments presented. This is not as the NDP/Liberals are saying, an exaggeration, its a documented reality. The NDP need to be removed from office before British Columbia as we knew it no longer exists, they have every intention of doing what they did in Haida Gwaii to all of British Columbia. Canadians living in British Columbia will not have the liberty of selling homes or property they no longer own.
Justice Barbara Young ruled that the Crown’s grants of private property ownership rights over the lands “unjustifiably infringe” on Cowichan Aboriginal title, and need to be negotiated, while titles and interests in the lands held by Canada and Richmond were “defective and invalid.”
The look of innocence while we all know this was intentional.
