How Socialism works in the Town of Smithers
Just a short rant today, more evidence that taxpayers funding media results in taxpayers getting fleeced. Some of the junk ideas coming out out the Town of Smithers goes one level above absurd.
Watch how the Smithers Town Council takes money intended to create employment, and turn it into supporting the criminal element in Smithers.
The Town of Smithers is applying for a grant from the Northern Development Initiative Trust to develop a Winter Emergency Plan.
This was decided at tonight’s (Tuesday)council meeting with the hope of receiving $23,400.
So who is the Northern Development Initiative Trust?
When the Premier of British Columbia announced the Northern Development Initiative Trust, it was on the premise that, “The best economic development decisions for the North should be made in the North.”
Now the “How To” convert economic development dollars into the “tent city that keeps crime rates, drug sales, drug addiction, fires, police, and ambulance going around the clock, to insure taxpayers waste more money on keeping the problem, and nothing on the cure.
Fires here are not isolated incidents, they are repetitive, they include stolen propane canisters 20 to 40 lb size, batteries, the grounds can be littered with possible HIV contaminated hypodermic needles, posing danger to anyone entering this compound. Repetitively contaminated hypodermic needles have been found around the Smithers Library, Bovil Square the Courthouse and even a number of Children’s Parks. The you have the Smithers Town Council putting the needles of addicts and criminals ahead of the residents of Smithers. We need some honest citizens to step forward and replace the entire town council.

Built on a perpetuating lie, very few of the Smithers homeless came from Smithers homes, these socialists are playing a word game with the truth. Once they set up shop in Smithers the town now considers them Smithers residents.
When they did a survey the truth becomes apparent. 93% pf the respondents identified as aboriginal, but that is not the kicker in this discussion. Before you read this report, I did do a screen shot of comments by Councillor Sam Raven who was I believe correcting the impression most of these people were from Witset, she said most of these people come from Fort Babine. (when i locate that screenshot I will add it here)
It might come as no surpride that Smither residents and BC Taxpayers end up footing the entire bill, it would be nice of Fort Babine would reclaim their citizens.
