Taylor Bachrach failed the Bulkley Valley-Stikine again.

In a shameful act of self righteous arrogance Taylor Bachrach refused to present a petition that came from his own constituents. Just who does Taylor Bachrach think he represents? Is it not his duty to speak on behalf of his constituents, or does he think we are all serving him? It was only thanks to Bob Zimmer that the petition created for the House was presented there. Thank you Bob Zimmer

Petition to the House of Commons
We, the undersigned citizens and residents of Canada, draw the attention of the House of Commons to the following:
Whereas:
• The Trudeau government has attempted to ban and seize the hunting rifles and shotguns of millions of Canadians;
• The targeting of farmers and hunters does not fight crime; and
• The Trudeau government has failed those who participate in the Canadian traditions of sport-shooting.
Therefore, we, the undersigned, call on the Government of Canada to stop any and all current and future bans on hunting and sport-shooting firearms.

We do not have an exact number of constituents that signed this petition, but the number was quite substantial. Is this not the very core of what an elected representative is supposed to do? Then you have Taylor Bachrach refusing to represent these constituents in our parliament. So why is Taylor so afraid to stand up for  the thousands of aboriginals in his riding? The Stikine Region is the traditional territory of several First Nations – Taku River Tlingit, Kaska Dene, Tahltan, Gitxsan and Takla Lake – which all have communities in the region, plus the Wet’suwet’en in the Bulkley Valley. Then add to that all the non aboriginals who also depend on firearms to protect them in the wild, or to gather food, legally and legitimately. Not to forget the farmers who also need firearms as part of required operating equipment. Who is Taylor Bachrach secretly protecting?

But then again, Taylor Bachrach recently made a significant change to his Twitter account. No longer can the constituents of the Bulkley Valley-Stikine post a comment or a question to him via Twitter, he just slammed the door shut on you.

ONLY people Taylor Bachrach follows can reply to the man who claims he represents us. I recall the saying “My way or the Highway” is a rule he seems to have adopted.

Is this a sign of running scared?
