COVID – Born Again Skeptic
Try make sense of the following contradictions, this goes beyond following rules equally applied to all citizens. This is a targeted attack on religion, keep reading and I will prove it to you.
As a senior with medical ailments (are there seniors who don’t?) the idea of a killer flu bug scared the hell out of me. I wore the mask religiously, washed my hands more often in a week than in the entire year before. I stayed mostly at home, almost ran out of toilet paper, and thank God we have a traditional bidet, so I can blast my private parts with ice cold water. All in the name of insuring I do not get the Bubonic Plague, or today’s version of COVID 19.
So what changed?
I have to admit, my position on how deadly COVID has not changed, however my position of what the government is doing with COVID or in the name of protecting us from COVID went from skeptical to outright fear.
Do not let FACTS get in the way of how you respond to COVID, tow the party line or else!
Here is what scares the hell out of me.
Case in point A) One is charged with breaking COVID protocol the other is not.
Rallies were organised in Montreal, Toronto and other Canadian cities against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government passing contentious farm bills in September, which farmers say will deregulate the agriculture sector and drastically affect their livelihoods.
Next we have (don’t let facts get in your way) this story.

“”People in Canada have a democratic right to a lawful and peaceful protest and the RCMP must use discretion when balancing a citizen’s rights with the current potential health risks associated to large public gatherings,” RCMP said.”
Case in point B) One is charged with breaking COVID protocol the other is not.
A) The above is perfectly legal, nobody will be charged, yet below
B.C. church fined $2.3K for violating COVID-19 ban on worship services.
“A church in Langley B.C., just east of Vancouver has been fined $2,300 for contravening a recent provincial health order that prohibits in-person, faith-related gatherings, which was aimed at limiting the spread of COVID19.
On Sunday, Langley RCMP said they asked congregants at the small church in a strip mall to disperse. When they didn’t, police issued the fine.”
Then this story!
VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — Dozens of people gathered peacefully outside of the Indian consulate in Vancouver in another show of solidarity with farmers protesting in New Delhi.
AGAIN NO CHARGES LAID – The hypocrisy by the RCMP is brutal, and doing so at the marching orders of Horgan and the NDP
Case in point C) Are they trying to contain COVID or are they intentionally spreading it?
This story comes from closer to home.
Terrace teacher exposed to COVID-19 irked by 1-week lag in notification at his school
“Cole Stephens, a teacher at Uplands Elementary School, told CBC News that he was aware he had likely been exposed to the virus on Dec. 1 after receiving notification of an exposure at his son’s daycare.
He asked colleagues whether he should send an email to his class, but was told to wait for direction from Northern Health. The public health agency did not issue a notice of exposure at the school until a week later, on Dec. 7, by which point he and has family had developed symptoms, confirming his suspicion that he’d been exposed.”
Case in point D) COVID extreme fanaticism.
A recent story in both Smithers Newspaper and the Terrace newspaper ran the following story.

Now its not the story that caught my attention most, it was the social media frenzy that was almost to the scale of pariah.
Locals attacking locals over the use of face masks, we have turned each other into mortal enemies, wow, no wonder the Government gets away with feasting on the budget, they have us at each others throats over COVID.
The best and most intelligent reply I saw was this one from a man in Smithers.
“Reading through most of these comments almost makes me sick to my stomach seeing how people are willing to trash on others from the safety of their keyboards and screens….. before commenting maybe ask yourself if you would speak that way in person….. just a thought “

One social media comment nailed it “So is Global trying to strike up some new protests? Using photos from 2014. May want to spend some of their valuable tax dollar donations and investigate what the Liberals are doing to Canada.“
I might be straying off topis a bit, intentionally, Pew Research claims “Our most recent survey in Canada, conducted in 2018, found that a slim majority of Canadian adults (55%) say they are Christian, including 29% who are Catholic and 18% who are Protestant. About three-in-ten Canadians say they are either atheist (8%), agnostic (5%) or “nothing in particular” (16%).Jul 1, 2019″
Yet according to Statistics Canada a much different result.
- According to the 2011 National Household Survey, the largest religion in Canada was Christianity. About 22.1 million people—or just over two-thirds (67.3%) of the population—reported that they were affiliated with a Christian religion. Catholics were the largest Christian religious group in 2011, at 12.8 million people.
- In 2011, about 2.4 million people, or 7.2% of Canada’s population, reported affiliation with Muslim, Hindu, Sikh and Buddhist religions. This was up from 4.9% a decade earlier, as recorded in the 2001 Census. The largest of these religions was Muslim, with just over one million individuals identifying themselves as such in 2011, representing 3.2% of the nation’s total population.
The above might explain why the social media appears to be 90% controlled by people who hate religion and use COVID as a means to try shut it down. Both NDP and Liberals are well known to hate Christians, it could explain why most new immigrants are Muslim? Nothing against Muslim’s by the way, just noting that Justin has made no secret that he hates Christians. For that matter neither has the BC NDP.
I am all for equally applied rules, I do not go to church, or ever plan to, however I would once again stand and take up arms for our nation, if there is another attack on our freedoms and liberties.
Do I fear the COVID virus, absolutely yes, do I wear a mask absolutely yes, do I wash my hands often, absolutely yes.
What has changed is how I see we are being herded like panicked cows into the funnel where the next thing that waits us is a meat packing plant.
